The Lillefolk Play Mats are made of premium quality, non-toxic EVA foam and have been rigorously tested to meet the US, EU and Australian Toy safety standards for children’s products. Our mats are free from heavy metals, phthalates, PVC and BPA.

If you want to make a larger size mat, we recommend you get a 3pcs Booster set. It expands a standard size mat from 1.2m x 1.8m to 1.8m to 1.8m.

Lillefolk is the only puzzle mat brand that doesn’t have any loose edges. We made this decision based on feedback from the parents we interviewed during our customer research. The parents were frustrated by how their babies and toddlers constantly were pulling off the edges of their puzzle mats, causing a potential choking hazard and damaging the mat.

Instead our edges are ‘built in’. This means that you can’t connect two Lillefolk mats together like some other brands can. Instead we offer our 3-piece Booster packs, to help you create a customized sized mat that fits your needs.

We generally don’t recommend our playmats if you have a pet as their sharp nails can pierce the soft surface of the playmat.

The mats are best suited for indoor use. The design can fade and become damaged from long sun exposure.

We offer free 30-day returns, as long as the mat hasn’t been used and is in new condition. Just email us at [email protected] with the subject line “return instructions” and we’ll help you out.

If your mat is defective, please stop using it immediately.

Our playmats are made of soft EVA foam and heavy furniture can make permanent indentations in the mat. We therefore recommend not to place heavy items on the mats.

Cleaning and Care

Before first use, we recommend that you clean the surface of the play mat gently. Once you’ve assembled the mat, use mild soap, water and a damp cloth and gently wipe the mat’s surface and dry completely with a dry towel. Avoid harsh or abrasive detergents.

To clean your play mat on a regular basis, use a damp cloth, soap and water as described above.

If you clean the floor underneath your play mat, make sure to dry the floor completely before placing your mat again. Moisture can become trapped under your play mat and may over time cause mold or mildew which could damage your floor.

Yes. Any spills can easily be wiped up with a cloth.

The best is to clean our mats with a sponge, and soapy water. If you want to use a vacuum cleaner, make sure to use a really low suction setting to avoid the mat getting damaged.
